Long Live Lasagne
600g Cherry Tomatoes / 1kg Ground Beef / 2 Bell Peppers / 2 Chillies / 1 Onion / 200g Cheddar / Parmesan / Lasagne Sheets / 50g Butter / Flour / Oregano / Salt / Pepper / Pint of Milk / 3 Cloves Garlic (1)
HEAT oven to 180C
SLICE peppers, onion and chillies
THROW tomatoes and sliced veg into baking dish
SEASON with salt, pepper, oregano and drizzle with oil (2)
ROAST in oven for 25-30 minutes
MELT 50g butter in pan on medium heat and tip in a tbsp of flour
STIR together and leave to cook for 2-3 mins
POUR in milk and 60-70g grated cheddar, set aside when thickened
FRY ground beef in a little oil
DUST meat with salt and pepper whilst browning
RESCUE roasted veg from oven
MIX browned beef with roast veg mix
DIP lasagne sheets in boiling water to soften for 2 minutes
BUILD lasagne in large dish
MAKE base layer with beef/tomato mix
ADD softened lasagne sheets
SPREAD half of white sauce over top
REPEAT until you’ve run out of ingredients
COVER in foil and bake in oven for 30 minutes
REMOVE from oven and scatter grated cheese over top
RETURN to oven for 20 minutes then serve
